Hi, I’m Caroline, founder of Broadly, and I’m excited to share my dream come to life of curating bespoke luxury travel experiences that connect you to the world in a meaningful way.

This dream was born from a deeply personal place. It’s the result of a lifetime shaped by exploration, connection, and the belief that travel is one of the most powerful tools we have to expand our perspective and enrich our lives.

This endeavor is dedicated to my family, who nurtured these values in me from the very beginning and shaped the way I see—and move through—the world.

Broadly is named after and inspired by my grandfather, Martin Broadwell. He was a true explorer — the kind who believed in getting to know the world, not just seeing it. He visited over 80 countries in his lifetime, but his trips were never about checking places off a list. He traveled to understand the world — its people, cultures, landscapes, and rhythms. As a child, I was fascinated by the treasures and photographs that overflowed from his home, each one telling a different story of a place far away. I always dreamed of the ways I could follow in his footsteps.

He passed down that curiosity to my mom, who joined him on some of his adventures. I loved hearing her stories—they made the world feel both magical and within reach. Over the years, she and I have shared many travels of our own, and she’s taught me so much about moving through the world with grace and good taste.
From her, I learned that luxury isn’t about flash — it’s about thoughtfulness. It’s the quiet confidence of knowing what truly matters: a perfectly set table overlooking the sea, a hotel that feels like a sanctuary, or the simple joy of lingering over a beautiful meal in a place you’ve never been.
She taught me how to savor a great bottle of wine, not just for its label, but for the memories made around the table. How to spot the small, meaningful details that turn a trip into a lifelong memory.

And then there’s my dad — the one who made those dreams real. Travel has always been our strongest bond, the way we connect best. He’s the reason I’ve seen the places I’ve seen and he taught me to savor the art of travel. To take advantage of our ability to see the world and embrace every part of the journey. From the energy of the airport, the anticipation of new places and the awe that settles in when you realize you’re somewhere entirely new. He helped me fall in love with the act of *moving through* the world.

Each of them shaped a core philosophy that now guides how I approach travel. From my grandfather, the authentic, adventurous spirit. From my mom, an appreciation for quiet luxury, thoughtful details and elevated experiences. And from my dad, the joy of traveling with ease and embracing the journey.
